Advisory Bio: 
Currently serving as an advisor to AGR, Tony Oliveira brings more than 40 years of experience as a multinational agribusiness executive, farmer, economics professor and public servant. He is the managing partner of Oliveira Farming, a diversified farming operation in California's Central Valley. Oliveira provides consulting services through Oliveira Advisory Services and Funston Advisory Work Services, both of which focus on pension issues with an emphasis on asset liability and sustainability, and risk management. He is a practicing economist, advising companies on economic trends with a focus on agricultural investments and commodity trends. While working as CEO at Dalgety PLC in London for six years, he was part of a small team that developed revolutionary patents for the fresh produce sector. Oliveira has also been active in the public sector: he served on the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) board, the Kings County Board of Supervisors, and the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) board. He has also been teaching economics and business at West Hills College in Lemoore since 2000. Tony received his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and is a Ph.D candidate in Public Policy at Walden University, currently completing his dissertation in the sustainability of public and private pension funds through best practice benchmarking of the asset/liability study (ALS) process. He has completed Fiduciary and Pension Management programs at Stanford Law School. He is also a songwriter, composer and performer. He and his wife live in Lemoore.
