I wished to follow in my brother's footsteps and stay close to home while I pursued my education.
Why Your Major?
In our modern day, I understood the importance of focusing on our relationship with the environment around us and how we can give way to its side when we interact with it as we build up infrastructure and determine policy.
Inspiration and Mentors
My main inspiration is my brother, who was one of the top students at this university in the previous year. He's been behind me throughout my 4 years and has never failed to pick me up whenever I was gonna fall behind.
Memorable Academic Experience
One memorable academic experience happened recently, with my Snow Hydrology lab taking me to Lake Tahoe to do snow pit and snow depth measurements. It was so beautiful being in the white snow, and roughing it out in the mountainous terrain was fun.
What's Next?
Right now, the short term will see me undertake a research assistant position under Professor Safeeq Khan monitoring water quality for the proceeding summer. Hopefully, I can use this experience to launch me into a more permanent position.
