Raj Samran

Raj Samran is the Chief Operating Officer of Hilltop Ranch, Inc., an almond processing company in Ballico, CA. Hilltop Ranch ships to over 70 countries worldwide. Raj is also an almond and pistachio farmer in Stanislaus, Merced and Madera counties. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of the Pacific. After obtaining his degree, he moved back home to Turlock, California where he was born and raised. Raj works with his father, Parwinder Samran, and his older brother, Taj Samran, to grow their family businesses. With Samran & Sons Farming Co. Inc and Hilltop Ranch, the Samran family is vertically integrated in the almond industry, from growing the almonds all the way to delivering wholesale bulk orders to the port of Oakland. Samran & Sons Farming was founded by Parwinder Samran in 1990 and the Samran family had the opportunity to acquire Hilltop Ranch in January 2022. Hilltop Ranch spans over 3 facilities and employs over 150 employees, processing 50 Millions pounds a year and hulls & shells about 25 Million pounds a year.
