Advisory Bio: 
Christopher S. Lynch is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Dean of the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) at UC Riverside. BCOE has approximately 4000 engineering and computer science undergraduate students enrolled across 5 departments, and approximately 1000 graduate students. The focus of the college is on educating students to participate in our increasingly complex technology based economy and to contribute to the economic development of the Inland Empire. Dean Lynch completed his M.S. and Ph.D. at UC Santa Barbara. He joined the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech in 1995 and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCLA in 2007. He build the MS Online Program and served as Chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCLA. He is a Fellow of ASME, Fellow of SPIE, and has received the ASME Smart Structures Prize and the SPIE Smart Materials and Structures Lifetime Achievement Award for his research on Smart Materials and Structures. He has served as the editor-in-chief and is currently an editorial board member of the journal Smart Materials and Structures.
